Today’s ideas
…All drop another breadcrumb on a trail that began in a previous post. Choose your own adventure(s) as another weekend kicks off down in coup-ville.
Did you like last Friday’s idea to print Know Your Rights cards/flyers and spread them around, but know that you won’t make it to a library or copy shop to do it? ➡️ Maybe pool some money with neighbors or friends and order cards in whatever languages are relevant to your area, then split them up to distribute.

Got the “call my Senators” thing down? ➡️ Last night I added a new number to my phone: my state’s Attorney General! Here’s why and how. I didn’t even get to leave a voice mail because the box was full, so I filled out his website Contact form demanding he investigate Musk.
How to resist Trump’s Order imposing classroom censorship and discrimination. (EdSource) Also, bumping this letter template that I mentioned a few days ago, in case you want to tweak it and send to your local principal this weekend: How parents can support educators right now (Garrett Bucks / The White Pages).
Re: the spice drive. I was going to buy all of the spices at a local Aldi or Costco. But then Penzey’s did this sassy tariff-inspired promotion. (The giveaway has ended from what I can tell — but did you know they have an “About Republicans” page on their website header?) Anyway, one lucky family at the food bank will get a luxurious bottle of Mexican vanilla, and several will get small packs of spice blends, but they’ll have more to choose from because I’ll stretch the rest of the $ much farther when I go shopping at a brick and mortar in the next couple of days.
Here’s hoping you find some moments of peace this weekend.
p.s. Consider freezing your credit if that’s relevant to you.
